I grew up torn between wanting to spend long weekends on my grandparents farm or jetting off to shop with my friends in Chicago. My love for the simple things in life and exclusive, artisan made pieces shapes the Amethyst aesthetic of "laidback luxury".

My background in home furnishings started when I was 17 working for a major home retailer. I absolutely fell in love with helping families make their homes feel special. In my early 20's I worked in real estate, new construction, marketing, and web design. In 2017, with the encouragement of my husband Andy, I decided to take the leap to open my own shop.

If you follow me online -- you know Amethyst is centered around a strong love and appreciation of rugs. It guides our design aesthetic and embodies our belief that handmade pieces give a home a soul.

Today, I live in Leawood, Kansas with my husband Andy and our three kids: Ryan (17), Vivi (9), and Miles (2)

When you stop by and see me in Omaha, you are going to get my famous "rug 101" that you just can't find at a big box store.

I travel with Monica 3-4 times a year to meet with manufacturers to ensure we are sourcing products we are proud to put in homes. It's so amazing to me how designers all shop from the same places -- yet projects look totally different! It's fun to reinterpret the trends for each family to deliver a signature, unique look.

The most rewarding part of my job is seeing all the "after" photos and when clients are proud to show off the spaces we worked on together. It's the biggest honor when a client comes back for help on their next space or refers a friend because they are so happy with their Amethyst experience.

Being a part of growing the Amethyst brand -- it never gets old hearing someone say "that looks like amethyst!" when we reveal projects.

We ship custom sofas, hand-crafted rugs, and gorgeous white oak tables all across the United States so it's so important to me that I know your products intimately.

My day-to-day is filled with finding beautiful solutions to everyday home problems -- I work with Monica to pull together a look that is tailored to your unique family and aesthetic.

The best part of my job is working with families across the US who find us because they want that Amethyst vibe!

The interior design industry is always introducing incredible designs and at Amethyst we get first access to the next great thing. It's so fun to work with clients who like to take risks and set the trends before they become mainstream.

I find great satisfaction in creating positive experiences at Amethyst. I enjoy chatting with our customers throughout the shipping process and helping with special requests.
